Strongly recommend for a weekend jaunt

Comfortable room, friendly staff, the location was perfect for exploring the city, being just a short walk from public transport and nearby attractions like St Stephen's cathedral.

Everything was superb.

The location near Schwedenplatz Ubahn station is excellent, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfast was superb, offering a great variety and a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, the bar setup was disappointing. it functioned more like a self-service area than a proper bar, which detracted from the experience. Additionally, I encountered poor service from a receptionist during a request for an iron, which left a negative impression.

My partner and I enjoyed our two-night stay, with comfortable beds and convenient city access. While the hotel needs some updates, the staff were generally friendly. I recommend trying the breakfast early to avoid crowds, as it tends to fill up quickly.

I booked a stay at Mercure Wien City hoping for a good time, but I was met with mixed results. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the center, and that made exploring really easy. On check-in, the staff welcomed me warmly, and the process was quick, which I appreciated. My room was clean and spacious enough, with a comfortable bed and necessary amenities like a kettle and toiletries. However, the room also had some issues. The air conditioning struggled to cool down, making it a bit uncomfortable at times. Additionally, the bathroom felt smaller than expected. I found the breakfast variety disappointing, as it lacked some fresh options and seemed repetitive. Lastly, there was noticeable noise from the street, which interrupted my sleep. These factors slightly tarnished the overall experience, yet the staff's friendliness stood out. I might consider staying again, hopeful for some improvements.

I had a great stay at Hotel Mercure Wien City! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with nice amenities like a minibar and coffee facilities. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the city center, which made it easy for us to explore Vienna. The staff was friendly and always ready to help, making us feel welcome throughout our visit.

Breakfast was a delight with freshly baked croissants and tasty jams. Plus, being just a short stroll from the iconic Cafe Central is a culinary jackpot! Grabbing a bite at nearby Mezze Cafe Restaurant was also a major win.

The new rooms just don't stack up—way smaller and darker than before. The bathroom felt cramped too. And let's not even get started on the noise from emergency vehicles nearby, which can be a bit of a buzzkill.

Our stay was fantastic with a spacious room that had a cozy couch and was super quiet, despite being next to the elevator. I really enjoyed the spa facilities and the lovely rooftop terrace for relaxation. The only hiccup was that the bathroom could’ve been a tad bigger, but it didn’t take away from our great experience! 😊
